January Outing
We gathered with Don at Fitness Plus as we kicked off the year with a self-defense class. He taught our Bigs, Littles and Group Volunteers how to scream for Help!, what to do in various situations, and what the most powerful weapons a person typically has at all times (brain, voice, and feet to run with.) Don did great at making the class fun and easy enough for a 6 year old to understand and good enough for an adult to get a kick out of and challenge themselves at the same time. Everyone got to practice their new learned moves on Don*s helpers from the gym. So be warned*don*t mess with Big Brothers Big Sisters Bigs and Littles! Thanks so much Don and all of your helpers, the class was great!

February*s outing included a little rolling, a little rocking, some pizza and a whole lot of fun. The Big Brothers Big Sisters program hosted an outing at Hauer*s Roller-rink and everyone seemed to have a great time. Since it was a school night activity, we had the rink to ourselves and we did a pretty good job filling it up. Thanks to everyone who attended and braved their health on the rink!

March 21st was Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Ski trip! The big yellow school bus drove the majority of the participants up to Showdown for a fun filled afternoon of spring skiing. Over 60 Bigs, Littles, and staff tested our skiing abilities on the mountain. Private lessons were available for everyone that wanted one, and those who didn*t were matched with groups of two or three to enjoy their time on the slopes! The day ended as a success with happy kids and everyone ready for a nap! Special thanks to our Bigs without skis : Sonny Putman, Rich Kuka, Ron and Connie Rust, and Debbie Erwin as well as the Great Falls Ski Club for sponsoring this event.
